Our Head Office, Schaar & Niemeyer (GmbH & Co.) KG was founded in 1851 in Hamburg, Germany, as a general ship supply company catering to logistics and technical spares for ships calling to major ports in Europe. To supplement the expanding growth, in August 1993, Schaar & Niemeyer (Far East) Pte Ltd was incorporated in Singapore to fulfill the general ship supplies for the Marine market in Asia. On 1st January 2001, Hanseatic Marine Services GmbH & Co.KG (HMS) was formed as a Holding Company to oversee the entire operations of Plurotech International, Schaar-Niemeyer and its other wholly owned subsidiaries in the global market.
On 1 September 2008, Zerssen & Citti, an established General Ship Supply chain company in Hamburg-Germany, wholly acquired Hanseatic Marine Services with the objective to capitalize the Marine & Offshore market shares for the European and Asian region. With this mega take over, new dimensions of expectations were created to monopolise the Asian market within the next lap of growth.
Plurotech International Pte Ltd was incorporated on 22nd March 1995, with the objective and emphasis benchmarked to provide professional and excellent services tailor made to the needs and requirements of our business partners in the Industrial, Pharmaceutical and the Marine & Offshore in the Asian region..
Our value-added services include providing expertise in engineering and repair services, recommending and supplying appropriate Protective Coating systems supervised by experience NACE Coating Inspectors, developing a logistic and co-ordination one-stop centre as well as to provide a procurement centre for the supply of Original and OEM machinery spares for the Marine and Offshore industries.
With our established professional credibility and network reliability in the playing fields, our services have reached far and wide in the Asian region. In order to meet the ever expanding demands of our business partners, we have now increased our value added services to include 4 specialised divisions who are able to tailor make and cater to our customers’ challenging requirements for the following scope of works:
The Marine & Offshore Division is responsible for carrying out fabrication engineering works as well as emergency repair works onboard vessels calling to the Singapore Port and vessels plying along the Singapore Anchorage and Off-port limits. Fabrication works are also carried out in our workshop located next to our office premises. We also manage and provide riding crews for repair and engineering works carried out during voyage. We have a team of experienced staff who is spear-headed by an ex-Ship Repair Manager who has more than 35 years of experience in the maritime industry. His experience in this field ranges from fabrication works to shipbuilding & engineering.

The Coatings Division provides professional technical expertise and corrosion control solutions for all corrosion related problems. We manufacture user & eco-friendly Water Based Rust Converters (RustEx*21™) and Topcoat Polymers (RustEx*Hypercote™) which are our very own proprietary blend products. With strategic alliances with reputed paint manufacturers, we are also the Exclusive Distributors in the Far East for the supply of High Performance Coatings which are widely used in the Marine & Offshore industries.
Below is the range of Coating Products, which we have in store for your corrosion needs:
- RustEx*21™ - This is our very own formulation of a Water-based Rust Converter. It is environmentally friendly, single pack, non-toxic, lead free and can be applied on any compromised steel substrates with minimal surface preparation. This product can be used as a primer or stand-alone coating without having to apply a topcoat.
- RustEx*Hypercote™ - This is also our very own formulation of a co-polymer latex coating. It is used as a topcoat over the rust converter for application in Potable Water Tanks and on other steel substrates. This product can be applied directly on blast cleaned steel as a primer or stand-alone coating.
- CeRam*Kote Coatings - This range of High Performance Flexible Ceramic Epoxy Coatings provides long term protection as well as excellent abrasion, adhesion, prohesion, impact and chemical resistance compared to any other High Build Epoxy coatings.
- Royal Coatings: These range of solvent-free ceramic loaded epoxy coatings are surface tolerant, environmentally and user friendly. It has excellent adhesion and wetting properties which adheres well on moist/damp surfaces.
- HoldTight® 102 Flash Rust Inhibitor - A Water-based rust inhibitor which removes bonded salts embedded within the pitted steel substrates. It also retards flash rust corrosion for a prolonged period of up to 72 hours. Unlike other water-based rust inhibitors, Holdtight® does not compromise on coating performance by creating a protective membrane on the substrate.
All of the above products have been stringently tested under harsh weathering and severe conditions and have exceeded laboratory requirements. These coatings have been approved by several renowned Marine Class Surveyors in various Type Approval Programs.
Our team of experienced sales staff and NACE Coating Inspectors are committed to effectively evaluating failure analyses and accurately identifying appropriate coatings systems solutions for all your corrosion problems.
We engage distributors, agents and representatives in the Far East region to provide stock points for coatings supply as well as to handle enquiries in their designated territories.
We also undertake supply and apply projects for blasting, painting and tank cleaning works carried out in mainland Singapore, Anchorage and during voyage operations.

The Logistics division is involved in the co-ordination and consolidation of materials and other logistic supplies for delivery via air or sea freight to assigned offshore drilling vessels in the global region.
This division was established to form a one-stop hub for suppliers to deliver materials bound for the offshore sectors. A systematic stock control inventory is maintained to ensure that the appropriate items are delivered to our centre in a good and acceptable condition before they are securely repacked and delivered to the offshore end users within the specified delivery time.
A renowned drilling company has appointed us to be the authorised logistics and consolidation centre for the supply of materials to their Oil Rig. We are also expanding our logistics services to other offshore drilling companies to provide them with these value added services so as to satisfy our business partners’ needs and requirements.
This newly formed Spare Parts division supplies all kinds of Original and OEM spare items as required by our business partners.
Our key supply includes all spares for Mitsui B&W, Man B&W with its related combinations as well as for other engine parts such as Caterpillar-MAK, Daihatsu, Akasaka Diesel Engine and Kobe Engines.
All enquiries on Engine Spare Parts and other related marine accessories will be handled by this division.

From December 2009, we have adopted The St Joseph’s Home & Hospice as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility(C.S.R) programme. The nursing home and hospice, established in 1973,provide shelter,a peace-filled environment,care and love for the aged,destitute and those with advanced illnesses,regardless of race or religion.
On 18th December 2009, We visited the home to present year-end gifts,someof which we had received from our valued business partners who were very supportive after hearing the cause.
2009 had been a challenging year for a number of reasons including the impact of the global financial crisis to add-on to the sadness. “It’s especially important in these trying times to remember the less fortunate among us” said our Director.
We look forward to being more involved in 2010 and also look forward to the kind support OR participation of our customers and other business partners.
