Plurotech RustEx*Hypercote™ has been successfully used on automotive shells and chassis, potable water tanks, steel bridges, brine tanks, harbour installations, lamp posts, oil rigs, railings, sewage treatment works, storage tanks, structural girders and railway vehicles.

Preparation
- Rusted Steel RustEx*Hypercote™ is tolerant of lightly rusted surfaces, however for heavily rusted surfaces, it should be pre-treated with RustEx*Hypercote™ Rust Converter.
- Cold Rolled Steel Abrade & degrease.
- Hot Rolled Steel Blast clean to Sa 2.5.
- Aluminium Degrease.
- Galvanised Steel Degrease.
- Fibreglass Degrease
Application
It is recommended to carry out an initial test at all times. This test should take place in the working conditions of application. The topcoat system should be also be tested for compatibility. Stir the product thoroughly before use. Apply a minimum of TWO coats by brush, spray or roller to achieve a wet film thickness of 115-170um per coat (50-75um DFT).
BRUSH: Apply product evenly by brush using multi-directional strokes to ensure adequate coverage of the substrate
ROLLER: Use a short nap roller and apply the coatings evenly; edges may need to be stripe coated by brush to ensure complete coverage.
