The CeRam*Kote 99® ceramic particle loading coatings technology results from Freecom's unique ability developed over fifteen years and the trial of hundreds of formulae. Ceramic particle loading is the addition of a complex series of ceramic particles into a resin solution which causes the resin solution to out-perform its basic chemistry.

Since originating the concept of ceramic particle loading fifteen years ago, Freecom has used this unique technical know-how to produce multiple formulations of CeRam-Kote. Ceramic loading increases the performance of the resin system. For that reason, performance characteristics of the NEW CeRam*Kote 99® are significantly better than liquid epoxy, fusion-bond epoxy and other high performance coatings systems.

CERAMIC PARTICLE LOADING

CeRam*Kote 99® is Freecom’s new “general use” coatings and is Freecom’s color formula. It has better UV resistance than typical epoxies.

CeRam*Kote 99® has better cleanability than CeRam*Kote 54® and withstands UV degradation better than the other CeRam-Kote epoxy products.

NOTE: CeRam*Kote 99® is not designed for critical service areas of high abrasion, heavy impact, and/ or chemical resistance.

ENCAPSULATING CERAMIC SHELL

CeRam*Kote 99® protects by binding ceramic particles in a unique resin system, thus creating an encapsulating ceramic shell. Each ceramic particle is resin coated and becomes tightly packed in the cured film.

The compact density of the cured film of CeRam*Kote 99® enhances the coatings’ sliding abrasion resistance, providing increased protection against the forces of erosion/ corrosion and abrasion.

CeRam*Kote 99®’s direct-to-substrate one-coat, two-pass system translates to increased production efficiency and significantly reduced down-time which are essential in the industry today.

TOUGH BARRIER Coatings

CeRam*Kote 99® is formulated for atmospheric corrosion service as well as immersion service to protect expensive equipment, fixed and mobile structures in a variety of industries. The coatings are available in a wide variety of colours.

Extremely high adhesion to virtually any substrate, extraordinary mechanical properties and quick turnaround time make CemRa*Kote 99® a superior protective coating when you need to get back in service fast.

A thin-film Ceramic Epoxy coatings Technology with advanced performance properties.

THE "BE THERE" PROPERTY:

Adhesion: measured at >3,000 psi (20.7 Mpa) over carbon steel with very high adhesion values on most substrates. CeRam*Kote 99® also provides excellent adhesion over hydro-blasted surfaces.

MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES:

Abrasion resistance: CeRam*Kote 99® has only 23 mg loss at 1,000 cycles.

Flexibility: measured at 15% elongation

Lubricity: measured at a static coefficient of friction value similar to Teflon (PTFE) coatings materials, which when coupled with its toughness and extremely high adhesion, creates a performance property delivering Teflon-like lubricity for service in all tough and abrasive working environments.

CORROSION RESISTANCE PROPERTIES: TOP OF THE SCALE

OTHER PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES:

Field repairable: CeRam*Kote 99®chemically bonds to itself with minimal surface preparation.

Machineable: When cured, CeRam*Kote 99®can be honed to achieve tight tolerances.

Time-saving application: CeRam*Kote 99®a one-coat, two-pass, ambient cured system which is applied directly to the properly prepared substrate without need of a primer.

For performance properties beyond comparison, ask for CeRam*Kote 99®a ceramic high performance coatings for use in tough environments to protect expensive equipment.
